Our Story

On the 1st of May 1989 Trevor, his wife Jenny and their partners started Al Pescatore in the Boulevard Center. This was one of two restaurants in Ballito at that time.

It was a quant little pizzeria in the heart of Ballito that only served a few dishes mainly pizzas and pastas. As the town expanded, they extending the menu and included a few Mediterranean dishes.

5 years after opening, Trevor and Jenny were able to buy out their partners and were officially the proud owners of
Al Pescatore Restaurant.

In the year 2000, Trevor and Jenny had the opportunity to move from their tiny 54 seater restaurant to the restaurant you see today.

With time and ongoing support from their very loyal customers, they were able to build onto the restaurant, including the beautiful ocean facing deck. They later extended the deck to wrap around the building for customers to enjoy the splendid extended sea views from the side of the building.
Today they have over 200 seats.

In 2023 Nicole, their daughter, came on as partner and hopes to take the restaurant on to another 35 years.
